ONPS Photo Contest

Do you enjoy taking pictures of wildflowers? Then start planning now to enter next year’s Annual Oklahoma Native Plant Society Photo Contest. For details, click on our link to the ONPS website.

Anyone can submit photos to the ONPS contest, you don't have to be a member of ONPS. Photos are judged in six categories: Closeup, Habitat, and a "Special" category that changes each year; with divisions for 1st time photographers and those who have entered the contest before.  An additional special prize may be awarded for the best photo from a "botanical" point of view at the judges’ discretion. All entries are automatically considered for the special award.

 Awards for the 2010 winners were presented at the Oklahoma Wildflower Workshop in May, 2010, and the winning photos are posted on the ONPS web site. Please use the link below to see the winning photos. 

The deadline to enter the 2011 contest will be in January  of next year, so plan ahead for our 2011 photo contest. Get out your camera and start shooting!
