Tickseed; Coreopsis lanceolata

A beautiful perennial and a showy member of the Sunflower or Composite family (Asteraceae), the lanceleaf tickseed has yellow ray and disk florets. This plant is easy to pick out at 65mph; it’s school-bus yellow and frequently dots the hillsides along many Oklahoma roads.
