Showy (evening) Primrose; Oenothera speciosa

These perennials range in height from 1-3 feet, with dark green leaves and light pink flowers.  This plant is a namesake of its family, the Evening Primrose family (Onagraceae) and is often found in large, spreading colonies.  The 4-petaled flower will bloom from spring to mid summer across much of Oklahoma.
