5.      Plains Coreopsis; Coreopsis tinctoria

This yellow-flowering annual plant dances in the slightest of Oklahoma breezes.  It is a member of the Sunflower family (Asteraceae) too and compliments the other members of this plant family.  It typically grows to be about 12 to 14 inches tall on slender stems.
