Plains Coreopsis; Coreopsis tinctoria
Photo by Jim Stasz @ USDA-NRCS Plants Database
This yellow-flowering annual plant dances in the
slightest of Oklahoma breezes. It
is a member of the Sunflower family (Asteraceae) too and compliments the other
members of this plant family. It
typically grows to be about 12 to 14 inches tall on slender stems.
