Matching Grant for Wildflowers

Would you like to color your roadsides with beautiful native wildflowers?

And would you want someone to assist you with the whole process, including seed selection, purchase, planting and half of the funding?

Color Oklahoma – Sow Some Wild Seeds has created a matching-grant program to help you accomplish your goals.

Color Oklahoma will match up to a total of $3,000 in grant requests each year. Grants will be awarded for a minimum of $300 and a maximum of $500.  The application deadline for 2009 is June 1.  Seeds will be sown in the fall for spring and summer blooms.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit groups, businesses, schools and universities, individuals, Indian Nations, civic groups and governmental entities.  Winners will be announced on our website.

Additional information on the matching grant application and the forms required are available by downloading the 2009 Grant Instructions and the 2009 Grant Application

Note: The application form is a PDF that allows you to type in your information and print it out. It can not be saved from session to session with the information you have provided. Please keep this in mind when you fill out your application and have all information ready for the form.

(You will need Adobe Acrobat or another PDF viewer to view these documents.)

Here are the native wildflowers proven most hardy in Oklahoma.
